Cenla Mission Retreat · Men

Come and see.

A weekend away for men who are curious about Jesus, and for men who already follow Him and know there's more. No phones. No pretending. Just time with God and with other men.

Why come

There's more than this.

Most of us are busy. Work, family, bills, the phone that never stops. It's easy to go years without stopping long enough to ask the questions that matter most.

This retreat makes room for those questions. Maybe you've never really looked at who Jesus is and what the Bible says about Him. Maybe you've believed for years but your faith has gone quiet. Either way, you're welcome here.

Men have come to this weekend and left changed: a new way of seeing faith, a new resolve to lead their homes, to be better husbands, fathers and friends. We can't promise what God will do in your life. We can promise to make room for Him.

The Veil Is Torn

ENTER BOLDLY

“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:16

The curtain that once separated people from the presence of God was torn in two. The way is open. This spring, come find out what it means to walk through it.

John 1:46

“Come and see.”

When Nathanael doubted that anything good could come from Nazareth, Philip didn't argue with him. He just said, “Come and see.”

That's our invitation too. You don't need to agree with everything, know the right words or clean yourself up first. Bring your questions. Come and see for yourself.

What to expect

Here's what we can tell you.

Centered on Jesus

Everything points back to Him. The Bible is open, and the teaching is honest and practical.

Worship

Singing together. You don't have to know the songs, and you don't have to sing.

Real conversation

Time with other men to talk, listen and think, without anyone forcing you to share more than you want to.

Shared meals

Good food, around the table, with people who quickly stop being strangers.

Indoors and out

Most of the weekend happens indoors, with some sessions outside under the Louisiana pines.

Room to reflect

Quiet moments to think about where you are and where you're headed.

The rest we'll leave for you to discover. The weekend means more when you don't know everything that's coming.

Leave the noise at home.

We ask everyone to leave their phones, devices and watches behind for the weekend.

That sounds hard. It usually turns out to be one of the best parts. No notifications, no scrolling, no checking the time. Just space: to listen, to think, to pay attention to God and to the people in front of you.

You'll be surprised how much room opens up.

After the weekend

You're not just attending a retreat. You're joining a brotherhood.

The weekend ends on Saturday. The friendships don't.

You'll leave knowing men from every walk of life who are a call or a message away: men who will pray for you, check on you, and show up when life gets hard. Long after you drive home, they'll still be in your corner.
